We have an empire bell tent and have just started camping with our toddler. What are some bell tent or camping essentials you recommend to make us all more comfortable and enjoy it every time

Assuming you have comfy-enough chairs and beds, A cheap thin doormat (IKEA do one) to keep wet grass out of the tent. Also easy on-off shoes and make the sleeping area of the tent 'shoes off' - esp in wet weather.

People like rugs - again IKEA do v big v cheap cotton flatweave rugs. They make the tent warmer and are nicer to stand on when getting out of your sleeping bag etc. e.g TIPHEDE natural/black, cotton rug, 120x180 cm - IKEA UK

Fairy lights round the tent door

Some form of -n-tent loo for night time wees. potty for toddlers, bucket with lid or Kampa Khazi for adults or full scale portable chemical toilet.

Windbreak to make sitting out more comfortable / for privacy

Don't give your child a bubble wand - bubble mixture is detergent and will wreck the waterproofing qualities of natural cotton canvas.

This flatwoven rug is versatile and machine washable. Perfect for dining tables, living rooms, or bedrooms, it’s easy to maintain.

@Tabarnakwe have flooring already it’s the bell tent matting which is great and a wind break but we didn’t actually use it this time as to hot and felt we didn’t need the privacy this time
