Isle of Wight camping

I’m looking for a camping site in the Isle of Wight during the summer holidays. We would be traveling with friends and would require a family friendly site, ideally with a play park and electric hook up.

I am really struggling to find a site that has all of the above and allows camp fires? We have a small raised fire pit which our children would be toasting marshmallows on.

Can anyone recommend a suitable site?

Most campsites at the moment are restricting use of campfires, due to the drought so you may as well knock that off your list.

We like Heathfields, but it doesn't have a huge play area. It is quiet and family friendly though. Shower block quite small.

I think Grange Farm fits what you’re looking for.

Just want to ask - have you looked at the cost of the ferry? We booked a house before we booked the ferry. If we’d looked at the ferry first we would have gone somewhere else.

You need to either book the ferry through the campsite or book accommodation through the ferry provider and then the ferry will be cheaper. Appldurcombe is an excellent campsite. They probably don’t allow campfires though and I wouldn’t risk having one in this drought anyway.
