So, Keycamp - do you HAVE to show your travel insurance policy?

We're off to Benodet on Friday and apparently we can't get our caravan until we've shown someone our travel insurance policy documents. Our travel insurance is through DH's bank account, and there just isn't a policy doc to speak of.

Is this just a ruse to get you to buy their travel insurance? Does anyone actually check?

No-one EVER checked with us and I've been with Campong Life for years (and Eurocamp). Give them dh's bank account number.

don't give out your bank a/c number! Never had to show an insurance policy. Usually you have to supply details before they will remove the insurance from your booking.
Last year Thomson Al Fresco wanted a breakage deposit when we arrived at the site. I told them I only had x amount of cash, so no way, and anyway we'd paid £10 up front to cover breakages etc. They backed down immediately.

Sensible advice - thank you both!
