Rainy caravan holiday: activities for nearly 3-year-old and 7-month-old

Hello! So we are currently on a caravan holiday, however there is nothing around us, there’s nothing on for the children in clubhouse and the park is currently closed this week for maintenance, but it’s very rainy and windy here! What sort of activities can I do with a 2 (nearly 3) and 7 month old

The obvious one is to search for indoor play centres nearby - or a local petting zoo. Aquariums would be great at those ages - do you have transport? If not, Google maps can help you to navigate public transport.

Can you take all the cushions off the sofas / beds and make an obstacle course in the caravan?

Or do some epic den building with sheets / pegs around the living room then have story time in the new den?

How about calling it a “disco caravan’ and pulling curtains etc then flashing the lights whilst you play some cheesy music on your phone?

Balloons!!! Anywhere you could maybe buy a pack of balloons?? Our little Premier corner shop has them with the birthday cards.

Washing up bowl on the floor in the shower with towels on the bathroom floor for some water play.

Any paints?? Find some rocks or sticks then make a collage or paint the items you found?

Swimming?? Local council run leisure centres may have under 5 play sessions on you could visit.

Can you find a local parents Facebook group and ask if there’s any stay and play sessions anywhere nearby?
