Is there a campsite across from Salcombe - where you would have to get the ferry across - by the hotel?

A friend of mine goes to Salcombe every year. I'll check with her and report back!

Hi SaveFerris, here is what she said. Hope this helps!

"We go to one called Ilton Farm but the lady who runs it is close to retirement and as a result has decided to not accept any more campers - only people with caravans will be able to stay there. We're therefore going to have to look for a new camp site in the next year or so - doh!

There's another farm called Alton Farm (I think that's what it's called) which is in Malborough - approx 2 miles from Salcombe. Alternatively, there's Higher Rew camp site, also in Malborough. I haven't stayed in either of these so can't vouch for quality!"

Many thanks for this ViolentFemme, I know Malborough so that may be worth a look.

We stayed at Higher Rew last year, it was nice. Basic - just a shop and showers, and a fairly empty games room, but peaceful and pleasant.
