We have been camping twice in the past, but to accompany scouts to camp so had all the equipment taken for us, we are hoping to go camping for aug bank hol with friends and I can't think what we will need.

Maybe some seasoned campers could help?
Also where is the best place to get camping things on a budget?

Bucket with a lid for middle of the night pees

BecauseImWorthIt · 15/06/2008 16:47

Pillows. They make all the difference in terms of quality of sleep.

Blandmum · 15/06/2008 16:55

a blanket or rug to go underneath you and on top of the air bed. Air bed on its own can be rather cold

Have been camping twice before in our tent, first time I was pg and v.uncomfortable, 2nd time ds was 8m old - is now 3yr !

DP seems to act as some kind of portable heater so will be ok with our sleeping bags and bed clothes

pillows check

busket check

Buskets are always important when camping, IMO.

bigTillyMint · 15/06/2008 18:25

LOL that your DP is portable heater - mine too!

Lucycat, that list is great, thanks - it's always good to have more suggestions of what we can ram into our car!
