Tent recommendation

Hiya! We had our first camping experience at the weekend, borrowing a friends Eurohike tent (Spectrum Cosmic). We now want to buy a tent of our own, and liked the one we borrowed however I can’t seem to find it or
similar online - so assume it’s old. Can anyone recommend a tent with the following?

  • Vis a vis layout
  • 3 ideally 4 person in each bedroom (2 bedrooms)
  • Sewn in ground sheet
  • Black out bedrooms
  • Extra bit of ground sheet for shoes / porch area as photo

does this exist?! 😂

The Hi-Gear Zenobia 8 Nightfall tent from Go Outdoors fits most of your criteria, although it doesn't have a porch or extra bit of groundsheet. If you have a Go Outdoors member card, it's only £200.

Blackout - then go for one of the Decathlon tents.

Edit: I just re-read that you want an 8 person vis-a-vis, not 4 person. Hmm.

So this meets your criteria - but would fill most car boots and is 25kg+
Do you need such a big tent>

Berghaus air 600/800 ? The only thing it doesn't have is the extra bit of groundsheet for shoes, but honestly you can pick up a bit for tarp for that job and peg it down. I think the Berghaus has an additional porch you can buy too

How many if you will be camping @Twlight1?

For general camping, I usually recommend a 3-season tent — lightweight, durable, and handles most weather except heavy snow. Brands I trust include MSR, REI, Big Agnes, and Nemo. Make sure to pick a size that fits your group comfortably plus gear. For hunting or backpacking, a lightweight 1–2 person tent is ideal. Always check for good ventilation and a reliable rainfly.
