Camping

Our UK Camping forum has all the information you need on finding the right equipment for your tent or caravan.

Does this exist? A place with huts or glamping where you can add an extra tent of your own to the site?

DD wants to camp with her friends for her 16th birthday. I don’t think anywhere will let under 18 stay without a parent … but I would rather stay in slightly nicer accommodation and also give her and her friends a little space while still being on the premises

So ideally something like a shepherds hut where she and her friends can pitch their tent outside of it -

this would be at Easter holidays - so also need to find a place that’s open then, I think some don’t open until may or June.

Clippesby Hall in Norfolk is lovely and has lodges, a shepherd hut and camping pitches

Wowo campsite near Haywards heath might fit the bill? Lots of glamping options and most have space next to them where you can pitch one or two tents. It's a huge roomy campsite with decent toilets/showers, food vans and a shop.

https://leewickfarm.co.uk/ or https://osealeisure.com/glamping-and-touring/ might be worth a look. Both in Essex.

At Orchard View Farm in Buckinghamshire, the tents are within sight of the pods.

All of the Embers campsites are good for being able to book a pre-pitched and bring your own tent pitch side by side - admittedly would mean you pay for two pitches but there are plenty around London. And they have been very helpful in past when we needed to amend our bookings with extra tents so they may well be OK with you putting an extra tent on the bell tent pitch?

Thanks you all, I have a lot of research to do now -
