DH has just informed me that the weather for The Vendee next week is thunder and lightening and therefore rain. Are we insane to go camping with a 2 year old and 6 month old with taht weather?

I am gutted, I want to go but he is saying no....

Oh dear, poor you, how disappointing for you. What sort of tent were you planning to camp in?

tbh with dc of that age, I think if a whole week of heavy rain was forcast then I would probably stay at home. It's not like they are up to playing monopoly yet .

Could you get a last minute holiday cottage deal (I presume your ferry crossing is all paid for)?

Well we have not booked yet, we were booking tonight...

I really dont want to have to cancel (stubbornme)
I suspected people might say dont go though.

Oh well if you haven't booked then don't go .

Have you done a long range Met Check yet? Anywhere that is not going to be getting horrible storms next week?

Now I'm as much a happy camper as the next mn happy camper, but with a 2 year old and a 6 month old are you sure you wouldn't prefer holiday accomodation with a washing machine?
