My daft question - electrical stuff

Am going to France in summer. All pitches have electric hook up. Have never ever used electric hook up before, partly cos we had a teeny car before.
Car we have now has a little more space (it had loads but we bought a table and chairs and a tent we can stand in).

So how do we do electric hook up - especially in france? and what would be useful (apart from charger for ninetendo (I know am heathen!))? Did think a little lamp might be quite nice, especially as am pretty vision impaired in twilight. Would a weeny kettle be possible? no room for a fridge though dd likes gallons of milk.

thanks

You have to be careful with a kettle, as they are ususally very high voltage, and can trip the electrics. We use electricity for a fridge (undertand you dont have room), lighting, and recharging stuff like phones.

Having said that, we camped for years without hook up.

Also remember you need the adapter for the French plugs (we bought ours from the campsite, but you might be prepared), and a outdoor hookup lead (from any camp shop).

Have a wonderful holiday
