Super amazing French campsite with lovely accommodation, not a long drive, nice beach and CLEAN!

Have always fancied those bells and whistles French campsites with water slides and restaurants and fun activities for children. Mine are pre-teen and teen. Would quite like a beach too and not a long drive from UK!

Does this exist? 🙏

Yelloh camping has some lovely sites. The location for a lesser drive would be Brittany or Normandy and ferry to St Malo or Caen. Lots should tick your boxes but imagine booked up for this summer. But in my experience yelloh camping are fab! The only ones we have been to though are further south so a long drive so I can’t give specific site recommendations.

Dol de bretagne, Domaine des Ormes is lovely and so close to the port . We had driven all over France and just stopped there for one night at the port on the way back but wished we'd just holidayed there ! It's got 3 lakes and a chateux . Had horse riding and loads of activities when we went admittedly a good few years ago .

Les Mouettes is drivable in a day from Calais if you get an early ferry crossing.

You could alternatively fly to Beziers or Carcassone and hire a car. There's lots of nice sites down that way, many of them on the coast. As PP said, look at Yelloh rather than Eurocamp as they tend to have better choices

We’ve been to Camping La boutinardiere near Pornic for the last few years at May half term when it’s typically very quiet. However the tent pitches are quite small, we have always stayed in the top end mobile homes. It is around a 4 hour drive from the Caen ferry port. Lovely sandy beach is 5 mins from the campsite. Very French - the staff try their best but dusting off your gcse French helps.

Just back from the Yelloh La Rive south of Bordeaux. Great pools and water slides, and lake swimming. Fabulous.
