Can you tell who are novice campers ? as we may make right dicks of ourselves this weekend !

Can you tell by their shinny new tent ? The hassled look ? or the way they stand round looking for somewhere to plug in the microwave ?

How can we blend in this weekend ?

Ahh this is so good, I will show it to dh as it always ends like this!!

We did a test run in the feild across form our house last year, thank god we did otherwise I think we would have eneded up divorced!! The bloke at the camping shop promised us 30 mins max!! HA HA HA 2 hours later!!!

However when we got to the campsite it took 45 mins max a nd that included unpacking. I was so proud

we are camping for the first time in july.

we have done the dry run and wanted to kill each other.

we have now decided on a system.

I will obv pack the car, as Dh couldn't pack to save his life.

When we get there I will unload the car whilst Dh pegs the g/s, thread the poles and then I'll help to erect the tent. He will then secure everything where it needs to go.

By this time I will be on my second glass of wine.

Once the tent is up Dh will go off with kids to explore and i will do all beds etc organising and cook some food.

That is the plan anyway. Feel free to offer suggestions or simply laugh at my naivety
