Hi! We've just bought a caravan this week after finding it too cold in a tent 😅 what does everyone use for bedding in the fold down bunk beds for kids and the front sofas that turn into a bed? I've seen people on insta using the jonic mattress topper but it's very pricey.

i also have a not very mobile 1 year old do i put a bed guard on bottom bunk or trry squeeze the travel cot in 🙈 Any pics of the set ups would be appreciated. TIA

We used sleeping bags when the kids were very small, then quilts as they got bigger. Storage is the problem with a mattrass topper

We have a mattress topper from Argos for the front bed which rolls up and is secured with a bungy and stowed under one of the front seats if we pack away the bed. We take a duvet with us - this also rolls up and gets stored in the mattress topper bag under a seat. To be honest, if the weather is good we’re outside anyway, so don’t bother to put the bed away in the daytime. It’s a 2 berth van so can’t comment on kids beds but a sleeping bed or lightweight duvet should be ok.

Have you tried it out yet @Sarahs8? Smile

We use normal waterproof sheets, sheets and duvets on all the beds. A normal topper from Argos on the front bed.

I don’t pack away the beds when we’re on holiday. If it is raining and we’re not out then we sit in the awning/use the dinette/sit on beds to play games/watch a film etc.

if I did want to pack away the big bed while away, I’d roll the topper and duvet and store them in the shower, which we don’t use.
