Recommendations for this weekend - easy ideas??

I want to take my autistic 13 year old away for 1 or 2 nights this coming weekend. He’s been very seriously ill, so isn’t yet very strong, and is only gradually adapting to a less screeny more active life. Ideally there would be some fun things to do that aren’t too far away from the campsite. No more than 2 hours from north London. Any ideas?? Just me and him

Wouldn’t it be too cold atm?

Twitey’s Camping and Glamping meadows is a really nice site; good facilities, fire pits, no loud music, family atmosphere. It’s quite close to Warwick Castle and the British Motor Museum.

School House Farm in Kent is close to Leeds Castle, which is a great day out.

Both full… I think I’ve left it too late…

Waggoners campsite is about 1 hour 20 from Barnet. Great value site with very lovely eco toilets and you can hire a fire pit.

Depending on preferences you could visit nearby Bird World, Guildford (which has one of those Ninja Warrior places if that’s your jam), or you could pick somewhere to detour on the journey eg spend the morning in Windsor before you head to the campsite later in the afternoon.
