Tourer site

I am looking for a good clean campsite for end of May bank holiday weekend approx 2 hrs away from manchester not north wales fed up of there , 2 children 8 and 3 and 1 mad dog in a tourer caravan any one any ideas

How about the Peak District?

There is a nice touring site at Hope near Castleton?

We have a similar problem to you, living in Manchester, we either do N Wales, the Lakes (and that can be more than 2 hours) or...?

The Caravan Club one at Blackpool is fab but you get a bit of motorway noise.
And another Caravan Club one, Craigie Park at Ayr is my fave (prob more than 2 hours though).
Both spotlessly clean, think most of the Caravan Club ones are, some you do need to be a member of to get in though, def worth it.

The one at Bowness-in-Windermere is spotless but smallish and no swing park. I believe it is fully booked for this year though.
