Hello, looking for campsite in this area and have come across this one a few times. Bit bigger than our usual choice but just wondering whether anyone has stayed here. Would be really keen to hear reviews.

we are going to royan this summer. Have also been doing research. There is a great website that reviews campsites i dont have name to hand but will post it later. I looked at this site and also one called les charmettes in same area and les charmettes faired better in the reviews so booked that one. Both are available with. Siblu holidays which looks great for kids.

if you type in independent campsite reviews into google you will get website i was talking about. By clicking on home page you will then have option on left hand side of screen to look at all sites reviewed in france. These are all in alphabetical order and you will see reviews for both bonne ans plage and les charmettes. Hope this helps

Thanks for replies. Really just wanted to get an idea of whether it is nice or not?! We tend to go for smaller quiet campsites and really like the ones that have a good mix of nationalities (rather then all british together). Looking at this one because it is an extra hol on top of our main hols so am trying to do it on the cheap and using tesco vouchers with siblu. Realise it is huge but just don't want to turn up and find it is really rowdy. Looking for nice family orientated holiday. Any comments wd be great. thanks

went there 3 years ago.
Its a big site and good for teens, my dc were much younger at 3 5 and 8.
Its good if you take bikes as you can cycle into Royan or in the other direction out to the lighthouse.
Its close to the beach and there is access from the beach path which wasnt secured at night. We found it noisy as there were a few beach parties, but our pitch was\close to the beach, if you were further away it mightn't be a problem.
Also a few kids bikes were stolen when we were there.
One other thing is avoid Royan town esp at around 10 and 5pm as it gets very busy due to the traffic for the zoo.
The zoo is great though, and its a good location for travelling round as you can get to La Rochelle, Fort Boyard etc.
Slightly bizzare out door toilet arrangements and one huge roll of toilet roll which you help yourself too before you go.

I worked at a quiter site up the road one summer (a long time ago!) adn bonne anse is a big and busy site, I wouldn't go there personally, but as others have said good with older kids. There are many other sites in the area that are smaller and quieter
