Where shall we go?

We want to go in the UK with DFs. They don't want to go anywhere we've been before so Cornwall, Gwynedd abd Anglesey are all out. No DC with us probably as they're older and will be working but we do have 2 DDogs. Preferably electric hook up.

We don't like it too busy either.

Any suggestions on where to go?

Wallace Lane Farm, it's by the Lake District National Park, near the village of Caldbeck.

Pembrokeshire is lovely and very dog friendly. We particularly like the area around Tenby, Manorbier, Barafundle in the south and Solfa, St David's in the west.

If you like walking and nice pubs, Small Batch campsite near Church Stretton, Shropshire is perfect.

Lots of sheep though so you will need to keep your dogs on leads.

Warcombe Farm camping park in Devon is lovely. Big pitches and heated shower block. Lovely dog walking area with an indoor shower for them too.

I know you said no Gwynedd, but I suspect you may have missed a few of the Gems?
Quiet?
Good Surfing?
On the Beach?
Dark Skys so you can see the stars?

Good selection of eating places and pubs but all would have to be driven to.
The Daily Telegraph voted this local pub in to the top 10 in the world?

Llanbedrog, Criccieth Trefor, Whistling Sands, Portmerion all nearby
Harlech, Barmouth Bala a bit further on
Please don't tell anyone how good the Llyn Peninsular is.

Treheli Farm Caravan & Campsite is a stunning coastal campsite on the corner of Porth Neigwl in North Wales.

Very, very familiar with Gwynned and Anglesey and as much as we love both, we want something different next year Wink

Blackberry Wood by the Sussex Downs

We went camping for a week in Cheddar this year - wonderful campsite, less than 10 minutes walk into the village with lots of local shops - butchers, bakers, pubs. A huge indoor market and car boot sale each weekend.
Less than a half hour walk up to the Cheddar Gorge.
Days out in Bristol (SS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension bridge - both amazing)
2 days at the seaside - Weston and Burnham-on-Sea
We were also blessed with perfect weather ☀️

Both DDogs are idiots so that's a given. Will look at that one thank you as it might be good for a weekend Wink

Hadn't thought of the Lake District, haven't been there for years Wink

Exmoor? Dulverton or Exford for campsites inland or Porlock, Lynton for nearer coast

plenty of good walks straight out of Fullerton, Oxford and porlock without using the car

A few years ago we went to The Quiet Site near Ullswater. That was really lovely and obviously the lakes are a gorgeous place to visit.
