Another camping question from me.

Can anyone recommend something reasonably quick and very warming(!) that works well on a gas camping stove (a decent sized one).

Want to write a shopping list but all the meals I think of are too fidly.

We like Chilli con carne, made with mince, tomatoes and kidney beans. Serve it with pita bread.

We take Sizzle n Stir Korma sauce and make Chicken Korma, then fry a tub of Pilau rice.

Fajitas work well too.

Egg and bacon for breakfast, also those small packs of porridge.

If you can buy a mini kettle barbecue that will do for a few meals.

I take a pack of frozen spag bol for the first day. Uou could also take your own frozen soup or buy some, eat with rolls etc.

Pesto pasta is quick and easy.

Tinned veg curry (Asian grocers do these) and cook your own rice.

Thanks for the ideas everyone.

We do the same sort of meals as Waswondering suggested. New pots/pasta/rice/bread and BBQ meat with salad most nights as quick and easy. We did attempt making spag bol etc on the stove last year but it seemed to take ages and was a bit of a faff. If you want that sort of thing, make it at home and freeze it and when its defrosted heat it up on the stove

We do soup and bread; hotdogs; pasta; baked beans on toast; lots of BBQs and sometimes we buy one of those warm chickens from the supermarket.

couscous, just needs a load of boiling water pured over, and then a veggie type of 'thing' with veggies, passata, herbs (I am a saddo I take a jar of herbs, salt/pepper and oil on holiday!!

Add hotdogs/sausages/ham for the non veggies.

I have to do two meals on a 2 burner stove that we will all eat
Another fave is simple, pasta, veggies sauce, and hot dogs - canned ones can be chopped into sauce after veggie meal is served. So dd2 has pasta with butter and cheese, DD1 and I have veggie pasta and DH has hot dog pasta
