Is it usual to pay a security deposit for a French campsite (Castels group)? No mention of it in Pitchup's booking ts and c's but now the campsite has sent a link for a deposit payment.
The pitch has private facilities - shower and loo which it looks like they expect us to clean before leaving.
Does anyone have experience of this please?
I'm not keen on clicking on an email payment link which appears to be from the campsite but looks a bit scammy.
