New Forest campsite recommendations

Hi, I'm hoping to go camping for a weekend in the New Forest with DH and DC (9 and 6) in May/June.

I'm looking for a campsite that is small/medium, mostly tents, large pitches and definitely room for ball games - that's non negotiable. I wondered whether anyone had any recommendations? TIA

Round Hill (between Brockenhurst and Beaulieu)

Holland Park. Closer to main road, but walking distance to Brockenhurst and lots of trees.

Long Meadow. I think quite big but pleasant walk to Brockenhurst across the forest.

Pylewell Park is a tent-only site with a large space in the middle for ball games. It has generous pitches and allows campfires.

Currently at Red Shoot - our 3 boys have made friends with several other kids and ball games are happening daily WinkFootball great campsite, very family oriented and a pub with great food at the edge of the site. It's our go-to site for the NF when we come for the past 10 years.

Hollands wood near Brockenhurst is lovely. I haven’t been for years but seem to remember there’s no marked pitches, just a free for all? If that’s still the same it’s something to be aware of, people pitched tents very close to is.

You can’t hear the road from the forest side of the site and there’s a massive grass area just through the trees for ball games. Ponies come through the campsite.
