Looking for a campsite similar to the Seal Bay resort.

Last year we stayed at Seal Bay in Selsy, West Sussex.

It had a camping area which was ideal for us as we have a touring van.

It was such a large site it kept our (then) 15 year old and her 2 friends busy all week.

Dd is now 16 and would like to come away with us this summer, if she can bring a friend along. I’m fine with this.

We could, of course, just go back to Seal Bay but I’m wondering if there is anything similar in the U.K. Seal Bay is 3 caravan sites altogether with a bus service running between each section and has a large complex in one area which houses a swimming pool, entertainment, a fun fair etc. Not to my taste (I like a quite campsite to relax in) but ideal for teens so they were occupied the whole time and no bored moments at all.

I’m thinking now dd and her friend are 16 I may hire a camping pod for them so they are more independent from us.

Ideally I’d like to go down to Cornwall or further afield but our rescue dog is not a great traveler so we need to stick to a certain radius from home. We are in Essex and I’ve circled on the map the areas we are thinking of.

It’s a big tick list I admit but wonder if anyone has any suggestions?

Try Vauxhall Great Yarmouth. It’s got touring, pods and lots of things to do onsite.

There’s quite a few Haven and Parkdean resorts in that area, but none on the same scale as Seal Bay.

The most similar would be Butlin’s, but they don’t have touring, not sure if they’d allow dogs.
