Eurocamp Brittany

Hello all

any recommendations for a site in Brittany for a summer break with 4 kids age 6-16? We've never done a eurocamp but last year's camping trip was a bit of a trial with the weather and we think the kids deserve something nice with outdoor swimming and the like. I guess we don't want to spend nearly £1k on a naff site with not much to do! Has anyone got any sites they can personally recommend? The kids all love outdoor activities and sports (especially the teen).

thank you!

ETA we could go for a regular campsite too, if anyone has any recommendations? Just want the sea and swimming pools really. We have all the camping gear. Just thought eurocamp might be a treat but if it's not worth it please say!

Following with interest!
Decades ago we used to go to a small campsite in Dinan - by the river. As a kid it was wonderful! I don't remember if it had a pool though.

@RowanMayfair we've booked des Menhirs with eurocamp for this summer. It's close to the beach and Carnac.
You can book directly with the site itself but we had loyalty discount from last year.
Obviously we haven't tried this particular site yet but if you do a search there have been quite a few positive reviews.

@Advent0range was it Ty Nadan?? Great site with indoor/outdoor pool complex. We had a great May 1/2 term there several years ago.
Have been to Des Menhirs and le grande Metairie, both great, former is closer to beach/town whilst latter is in countryside and more spread out with huge pool complex.
Can't go wrong with Eurocamp, we have lived every holiday!!

@samlovesdilys I really can't remember! Terrible memory. All I remember is that it rained in the middle of the night and my other half was out in the rain and dark putting a rain cover shield thing over the top of the tent!

Grande Metairie and domaine des ormes are both lovely.

domaine des ormes is a much bigger site with lots of activities (archery, pony rides, water sports etc) so was good for staying on site but I actually preferred the smaller La grande Metairie, we usually went out to local towns in the morning then swimming etc in the afternoon it was such a lovely chilled holiday 🥰

We've been to both Domaine Des Ormes and Des Menhirs. Des Menhirs is in a great location and you don't need to use the car to get to restaurants, shops and the beach. Domaine Des Ormes is more remote but St Malo (it has a good aquarium), Mont St Michel and Alligator Bay are close by.
