Hello, does anyone have any camp site / holiday resort recommendations for around Paris? Would be looking for somewhere that has pitches as well as accommodation (chalet type) and every where we are looking is booked out for next year and we were wondering about some smaller family run places. Thanks.

Jablines? Basic but nice site close to Disney - you can park at Val d'Europe and take the RER into Paris.

We went to one called Maison La Fitte. It was years ago but was nice enough and on the train line into Paris.

There’s a country park campsite at Crecy-La-Chapelle which we’ve used a couple of times for Disneyland.

Camping Paris

I was looking at here for next year. It was very highly recommended on one of the motorhome facebook groups I am on.

There are several reviews on YouTube and they all seem good. There's a shuttle bus to the nearest Metro station to get you into the centre of Paris.

Camp in the heart of Paris - Paris campsite

On the banks of the Seine and in the heart of nature, stay in the heart of the 16th arrondissement. The Camping de Paris **** is open all year. The ideal starting point to explore Paris and reach the city center by shuttle bus.

We stayed here in 2018. It was very pleasant. Really easy to get into Paris on the train, lovely spot next to the Seine and the facilities are good. I'd say its more of a functional site that people us for its location rather than as a place to have a full two week holiday. We had three nights there so that we could show the kids the sights of Paris (waste of time Grin). It's the opposite side of Paris to Eurodisney through if that was your plan.

(And we camped btw, they have pitches and cabins)

We've been here a few times for various reasons. Location is good and site looks ok as long as there's no rain. Then it gets VERY muddy. Showers/toilets are mixed sex and not very nice. Dish washing facilities are outside shower block and no hot water and not very clean.

If you can put up with above issues then the area - for getting in to Paris, is good. There is a bus that runs from the site to Toour d'Effiel hourly for a small cost.

Thanks very much, thats very useful! I didnt realise the bus went all the way to the Tour DEffiel, I thought it went to a nearby metro station!
