French campsite with great public transport

We just had a brilliant week in Annecy with the campervan. We parked up at a campsite and didn’t move the van all week as the public transport was brilliant and there was plenty to do within walking distance/bus distance/cycling distance. I’m now searching for somewhere similar in France for next year. We’d need pool with slides for the kids, any ideas? I’ve found something on Ile D’Oleron which would be brill but it’s not got pitches, only mobile homes. Anyone parked up camper or mobile home and not needed to move again?

That area is great for not driving. We are near La Palmyre and barely use our car and cycle everywhere on the endless cycle paths. Our site is all mobile homes but others nearby aren’t.

Venosc in the french Alps. You can walk, get the bus and go up the cable car to Les Deux Alps. We parked up on the site there for 2 weeks.
