Which tent do I need?

We are beginner campers and am a bit lost as to which tent to buy. We would only be camping for 2-3 nights and in the spring and summer. We have a big van so transport not an issue. Would appreciate any advice from seasoned campers!

We would like a tent that is quick and easy to put up and take down. Air tent maybe?
family of 5. (3 kids under 6) so ideally one large bedroom
somewhere we could sit and eat or play games in the evenings
blackout bedroom with ventilation
under £600 of possible

do you think we could fit in a 4 man with 2 double mattresses or would we need a 5/6?

Use a 5l flagon of mineral water from the supermarket (less than £1.50, usually) and then keep refilling it from the tap. Some camping water containers can taste plasticky and / or leak.

S hooks / butchers hooks. Keep them in your wash bag to hang over the shower door if there are not enough hooks (there never are).

Flip flop / Croc type shoes for the shower. Also easy to kick on and off going in and out of the tent.

Pegs and some rope to rig up hanging for towels / swimsuits etc

Roll on deodorant. Spraying aerosols inside your tent leaves a flammable residue and the solvent, in time, may damage the waterproofing layer.

Don’t let the kids use bubble mix near yours or other’s tents: detergent is not good for tents.
