Bell tent flooring

Any recommendations for cheap flooring ideas for a 4m bell tent? I feel that we need a layer of flooring for warmth but everything I have found just seems so spendy/heavy!

We have used cheap ikea rugs and kids foam playmats the kind that jigsaw together. Both were good but the play mats were best.

What will you be using it for - taking it away or for garden use?

I did have some outdoor rugs for a while but they don’t really stop atmospheric damp on the grass in the evening so in the end I just paid and got coir and they’re so much better. We mostly have ours up in the garden so the heaviness isn’t as much of an issue but they’re really thick and durable and don’t seem to let damp through.

Yes I do love the look of the coir. We are occasional campers getting away a few times a year. Maybe we might try foam play mats for now and then eventually give in to a proper coir one!

IKEA have huge cotton flat woven rugs, really cheap, that suit a bell tent vibe. Not bulky to fold.
