Snowdonia - campsite recommendations

Hoping to take our motorhome to Snowdonia this Summer. We are looking at campsites both inland and by the coast. We like quieter sites and don't need much in the way of facilities other than decent showers, maybe a little shop. There will be 4 of us, myself DH and two teenage DS who like biking, the seaside.

I realise it's a huge area but any personal recommendations would be very gratefully received. Thanks

If your boys like biking you could base yourselves near coed y Brenin. There is a lovely campsite at dolgellau bryn y gwin farm. Can walk into Dol - great pizzas at stag inn and 20 mins from the beach - the one past fairbourne (north) is much quieter than Barmouth side. Also cycle path along estuary to Barmouth, walk up cader idris,

@noprobbob really can’t recommend it highly enough, have been going back for years and it’s really pretty magical.
Just saw in your op that you’re in a mobile home, the pitches for them are at the top of the site (whole place is on a hillside and the bottom by the estuary is much lower than the top) and are right next to a nice clean shower/toilet block. Good views from that spot too. Lovely little honesty shop as well, lots of treats plus the reception sells alcohol too.
Quite possibly the best campsite I’ve ever been to, and I’ve stayed at a few.

Nant gwynant is a fave of ours, just below Yr Wyddfa and not far from Beddgelert.

I was going to say llyn Gwynant. Gorgeous

Have a look at Trawsdir. And start calling it Eryri rather than Snowdonia, you'll be much more popular Wink

@Lonelycrab just got back from Graig Wen - it was lovely - just as you described.
So peaceful.
Thank you so much for the recommendation Smile
