Family campsite for 3+ families south east

Looking for recommendations for a good campsite for one of the May bank holidays.
There will be 2 families with 2x 12 yo, 1x 8 yo and a 6 yo.

We need:
1-1.5 hrs from London (south east London)
Playground
Walking distance to a town/something of interest
Campervan and tents can camp together

Even better if:
It was close to water (river/beach/lake)
Electric hook up for our campervan
Fish and chips or pub tea not too far
Campfires are permitted

So far looking at Kingsdown, Wowow camping in Sussex, Hurley riverside park.

Any great ones you know to fit the bill?!
Thanks!

Sorry, should have said at least 2 families. We are hoping to rope some more in once we have our plans firmed up!

Woolsbridge - it backs in to Moors Valley Country Park.
Lovely site and handy for New Forest snd the coast.

Nethergong near Canterbury is magical - easy to walk to a nice riverside pub which does good food and near where you can hire canoes and paddle boards. It has a fishing lake on site. It’s near an easy bus route into the city if you need more.

I’ve been to all those you mention, Kingsdown is also great with a lovely walk down to the beach and pub or into Walmer, Wowo is fun but they overcrowd it these days and it can feel a bit like a music festival (not in a 100% good way) and Hurley is a bit more traditional caravan park type.

Happisburgh, Norfolk. Might fit your criteria. We had a lovely family stay there.

Park Farm is great for groups of families parkfarmcamping.co.uk/park-farm-campground-facilities-east-sussex/ There’s a nice play area with climbing frame, tractor, zip line and mini assault course. Plus there’s a big field for ball games and woodland for the dc to explore. It’s within walking distance from Bodiam which is famous for Bodiam Castle.

Nethergong is already full for the weekend we want to go ☹️. Will definitely bookmark it for the future though!
Thanks for the other tips
