Hi all
Please could I have your recommendations for a campsite that fits the following parameters
2 hours or less from SW London
Allows groups of tents (6 tents pitching together)
Lots of space for kids to run around, not packed together pitches
Allows campfires
Small shop onsite or somewhere nearby to get morning coffee

Thanks so much

parkfarmcamping.co.uk/ definitely... we hated it. We arrived after dark and pitched away from other tents and caravans in what turned out to be the 'football pitch' of a group of kids that were already there. Woke to them moaning and kicking balls AT our tent and cars at 6am . We left by 7am. And that was over 25 years ago. Just looked, seems same arrangement - large groups pitch where you like & with everything you ask. Lots of room, allowed fires, shop/coffee on site, children's play area and less than 2 hours from London.
Enjoy, it was a lovely site, but the people/kids ... just wasn't for us! Just pitch carefully! I'm sure without the kids aggression it would have been lovely. Mind you, looks like they've now allocated a specific area for ball games on the map parkfarmcamping.co.uk/

Cotswold View campsite (not sure about the group pitching rules, but ticks your other boxes). Lovely site with amazing on site cafe.

We went here last year:

www.starfieldcamping.co.uk/

and it had everything you describe. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to have a fire while we were there due to the incredibly dry and hot weather, but they do normally allow them. They have a communal freezer onsite and I think also phone charging facilities. V important as we had a group of teen girls with us! Also a farm shop that sells teas and coffees as well as pastries, among lots of other stuff.

Tom's Field just outside Swanage. Some cracking coastal walks nearby, steam railways, Corfe Castle, beaches and pubs all within a few miles.
