Anyone done camping in germany? We are going to be speding a few days there in the summer, and having looked at the prices of hotels...eeeek.
So, anyone been on any sites over there, and do they have websites? Ican't find any.

DH is looking at this for the summer, you could start with keycamp et al to get names of sites (don't have to book with them).

Really keen to hear about this too, as we're also looking for sites, near Lubeck especially.

Will share whatever I find out.

Can't help you on camping but if you want an alternative look at a farm holiday. I've booked one for 2009 as they were full up for this year which is about £300 for a week in August (53 euros a night for 4 of us plus 25 euros cleaning) with free indoor swimming pool, free riding, bike hire, tractor rides, games room - the list goes on !

I was very pleasantly suprised at how reasonable self catering accomodation is over there. Looking at Keycamps price for during the summer holidays I think my holiday including the flights and car hire will come in a good bit under their summer holiday prices.

Ask on ukcampsites. They have a camping abroad section.

Sorry - just realised that post was a bit curt. I don't know anything about campsites in Germany but ukcampsites is great for all questions to do with camping
