I'm off to womad! With oh and 2 little ones.

This is my first festival since Reading, back in the 90s when Reading felt pretty edgy and everything was damaged or stolen.

I'm hoping womad is friendlier. Specifically (middle class alert) am I okay to take my posh bell tent?

MUCH friendlier! As long as you get there early enough to get enough space, I’d say you’ll be fine. (Although I’m staying in a premier inn down the road, so I might be totally wrong!)

Ah thanks @2lostsouls . We're actually not getting there till the Saturday, so you think that makes a difference? Premier Inn is a great idea!

Should be fine, usually there is plenty of space in the family camping. As I’ve got older I’ve realised the value of having a decent sized tent. It just helps to keep things organised.
Are you taking a trolley? They really help you in getting your stuff into the festival, which can always be a challenge. Just buy some bungees and strap it all on.

We did womad in a posh bell tent a few years ago, and were not the only ones! DH is going with a mate this year and bringing the bell tent again. Womad is safe and middle class, home of the bell tent 😂

Hope you have a lovely time op! I'm setting off tomorrow, we are in Meadow camping which is very peaceful. Family camp area will be fine!! Enjoy yourselves, it's a very friendly festival 😊
