We have a campervan & awning and we are looking to camp for the first time for about 3 nights.

Can anyone recommend a campsite please in Devon.

Sorry if there is a thread already about this.

Ladram Bay

We don't mind. We are just excited about our first attempt.

We would like a have a bbq and a fire pit but have no experience of knowing if these are always allowed.

What sort of site?

Cherry Tree Campsite in Croyde (no dogs allowed) lovely campsite, great facilities and sometimes has food vans and BBQ nights. 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk to the village centre which has a few good pubs, surf shops and cafes.

Ladys mile end in Dawlish is lovely, lloads to do and about a 10 min walk from Dawlish Warren, plus 10-15 min drive for loads of other beaches/harbours/towns. Its stunning.

What sort of site?

Anywhere that will have us. T6 & awning. We aren't taking the dogs the first time.

Thank you everyone who has replied up to yet.

Camping and caravanning club site in Slapton. Lovely little village, Slapton ley, the beach, some nice places to eat in the village and at Tor Cross.

My favourite place. Wonderful memories of holidays with children including a 3 week stay with a 3 month old and a 2 year old.

Cracking site in Morthoe. North Morte Farm, it’s pretty quiet but amazing views. No fires but you can have barbecues. If you want busier with bar, swimming pool etc the Woolacombe Bay sites are good
