Hi all. I am due in Sept and would love to road trip for 4-6 weeks around France/Italy whilst on Mat Leave. Probably April/May next year. Am I crazy? Is this realistic and has anyone done this before/got any tips? TIA 😃

Looking for some advice -We are planning on driving from UK to Italy with our six month old to visit family, any recommended routine and stop point ideas/ tips for trips with young babies
Thank you in advance.

Hey @CJIP congrats on the arrival of your little one! I hope everything is going well. 6 months is a perfect age I would say, if you baby is chilled and travels well it will be a breeze. Even more so if you haven't started weaning yet 😅 but if not it's still fine. We still travel a lot in our van with our 21 months old and although it is certainly more tricky these days he absolutely loves it. Just time the drives with naps. Tor usually has one midday long nap now but he will still have two shorter ones if that works better with our traveling times. They still sleep so much at that age it will be super easy. What else specifically would you like advice on? Happy to help 😊 x

Hey @purplegal thank you for responding! Yes we will be planning lots of stops as don't want her to be stuck in car seat for to long and want to make the most of the sites along the way and nappy changes and feeding etc. we currently trying to plan a routine that doesn't take to long from Dover to south of Italy. Any suggestions on routines and what different countries have to offer for views and easy places to sleep like motel kinda idea.
