Brittany Campsite Recommendations

Can anyone recommend any campsites in Brittany? It will just be me and DS5, so ideally child friendly. It's been 10 years since I last camped in France, so any tips would also be great!

We would like:

  • within 3 hours drive of Roscoff
  • on the coast
  • swimming pool/slides
  • Electric hookup

Thanks 😊

La Grand Metaire is great. Have a look on the Les Castells and Yelloh websites for more options.

www.camping-bretagne-atlantique.com/en/ - Camping Atlantique was the first campsite in Brittany that we tried. Lovely pool complex, short walk through the woods to a beach. There's also an indoor soft play centre onsite which is great if it rains!

www.camping-kervilor.com/campsite-france-brittany.html - this is in southern Brittany. Really good pool and water complex, amazing playground, mini golf etc. A bit more French, but my daughter who was 6 at the time enjoyed going to kids club. There's a free minibus that goes into the local town and beaches.

www.camping-les-embruns.com/ - this campsite is beautiful. A bit quieter than the other two I've mentioned. Short walk to a couple of beaches and the village is just on the doorstep. Pool and playground are nice and there's a little farm there. Some evening entertainment, but not noisy. The pitches here are huge and the site is immaculate.

We loved this place, about 1.5hrs from Roscoff. We only stayed a couple of nights but a beautiful spot and lovely owners. milin-kerhe.com/index.html

This place is great. Indoor and outdoor pool (both with slides), a French go ape on site, a lovely restaurant and walking distance to benodet with a beach and lots of lovely restaurants.

Oh they have kids club with bouncy castle (which we didn’t use) and little go karting (which we did).

We stayed at Les Mouettes a few years back. Only put off going back because the weather was so bad. It was a fab site though. We have also stayed at a Sandaya site near Pont Aven which was very nice. Weather was better being a bit further south,

You might have already booked but the first campsite that @Ditsy79 recommended was my kids (and possibly my) favourite holiday. Went in 2018 when DC were 8 and 12. The beaches were amazing (and surprisingly empty given it was summer hols - we went the first week of August)
