I bought a 2002 Conway folding camper last year and only used it for one night without the awning. This year I've booked a proper break in Cornwall in June and over the weekend put the camper up to check it over and fitted the full awning! I'm SO excited! It makes it all so cosy (well, as cosy as a tent can be!) x Just need some replacement clips and elastic bands and another couple of weekends practising putting it up and working out what to take then its off we go!

I've no one else to share this with so hoping there are some similar minds on this topic who will understand rather than thinking I'm bonkers and should go in a hotel!! Grin

I loved our Penine Pullman (Polly). The awning nearly killed us all though. It was massive, heavy and my husband is a complete neat freak when putting one up. Well done 9n doing your own awning and you will have a fab summer.

How very exciting. Not bonkers at all.

I'm missing my camping trips so much. This year we are renovating the house and have to move out for months. I'm tempted to pitch my tent in the garden.

^ This may be considered bonkers by some Grin

Just sold our Conway (Flo) to buy our caravan.
We loved her!

We have a 1997 Conway Cruiser. The massive awning is a big pain to put up so I bought a smaller caravan porch awning and sewed a zip onto it that matches the Cruiser zip. Lots of info here on UKCampsites: www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_forum_topics.asp?ForumID=10.
