Mathevies campsite for DD8

I have very fond memories of this campsite from 2016 when DD was 2 and a half. Loved the friendly atmosphere, the bar area, the lovely families we met -- also the food vans that come daily in the summer.

DD was too little then to make friends but there seemed to be children having a wonderful time being independent and running around.

But at 8 is she too old now? (I remember the games room was fab for toddlers...). Looking for a small campsite with a fab atmosphere like this one so that our only child DD might make some friends... lots of eurocamp-style places just seem too big for that. Is that a fair assessment?

Anyone been to Mathevies recently? Are most of the children there younger? I would love to go back. Or can anyone recommend somewhere similar that might have a similar vibe but good for an 8 year old? (she's not a very grown up 8 year old) TIA

I’ve never stayed at Mathevies, but I think Domaine de Sevenier and Campsite Le Ventoulou are similar and my family have had lovely stays at both.

Thank you @Fivemoreminutes1 - I appreciate your reply. I have actually been to Domaine de Sevenier and liked it (although a tiny hut in the worst position with no view at all didn't help me to love it as much as I might have done). I will definitely check out your other mention too. Thank you again.
