campervanning around Germany in summer

I am being totally nuts (wot's new) and taking my 2 ds' round Germany in a VW van any suggestions as to where to go?

Certainly not nuts, as for germany i have no idea but have known two people go camping and come back full of excitment. geramny rather large so have you any idea south north?

I did go to nederlands last summer in campervan with two dc and it was fantabydoesey lots of biking aswell.

The South. Heidelberg is great and so is Bavaria (Bamberg, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich).

Also North West (Rhine valley - Cologne, Boppard etc) very nice. Not sure about campsites though.

All I know so far is that we start in Frankfurt and my dc love steam trains castles and very tall buildings

We are going for a month!!!!

If you're starting in Frankfurt then head southwest for Heidelberg and the Schwabian mountains and Black Forest area: Wuenderschoen!
