Full time campervan/address issue

I'm about to buy a campervan, and I'll be living in it for a bit whilst I prepare to buy property. Has anyone found a way to not have an address, and still have valid insurance, etc, other than using a friend or family member's address? I'd rather stay independent if possible, but DVLA insist on your 'home' address on your licence, and that has to match the address you're insured to. I have a Royal Mail redirection from my old address so I haven't changed anything yet; I keep wondering if there's a way round this. Really uncomfortable using an address where I don't actually live.

Speak to the solicitor that you're using for the property purchase, see if they offer an address service. Expect to pay a premium for full-timer insurance.

Check boatmail. Its a paid for service for a real address for people who live on boats.

Think about the implications for the electoral roll too, for credit checks etc, bank statements. This was a major difficulty when we had housing trouble. Assuming you need a mortgage don’t want to fuck up your credit worthiness, or have money laundering issues.

Where are you keeping the camper-van parked?

Your bank will need a residential address for you too

Exactly what I needed, thank you.

And thanks everyone for your replies.
