Campsite recommendations Provence region

Very tentatively excited about booking a holiday in France for the 1st 2 weeks of September 2022 and would love some recommendations as it's a whole new country for us in terms of holidays (apart from Paris) Smile

Just to point out, chalet type places rather than actual tents as we're not driving.

Just me and DH, no children. We ideally don't want to hire a car (unless essential) but happy to take taxis, trains, buses etc.

Looking around Avignon and then making our way to the coast, fly home from marseille. So any areas in this whole region considered before we then stay elsewhere on the coast.

Any campsites that have the following?

Reasonably near to train or bus station I.e.10 miles
Swimming pool
On site bar and restaurant
Other bars or restaurants in walking distance, approx up to an hour's walk
Ideally private bathroom but flexible on this

Thank you so much!

Have you looked around Port Grimaud? It’s a beautiful town on the bay of St Tropez, like a little Venice where waterways run through the town and you can take the boat to St Tropez or the bus to Monaco.

We have stayed at www.camping-des-mures.com/en/ , which has no pool but is right on the beach and walkable to the town past beach restaurants, it’s a beautiful quiet site. We have a beach pitch booked in June.

Also stayed at en.riviera-villages.com/Prairies-de-la-Mer
Which is a large busy site with lots of activities, again no pool as direct beach access, right next to the town.

Also stayed at a site with a pool a bit further out but walkable, with Siblu, but there are loads of sites there, and good public transport links.
