Did you get good support from the place you bought a camper van from?

In the course of looking through various forums and facebook groups it struck how many faults owners of new vans had to deal with - the kind of faults that IMHO really shouldn't manifest themselves that often - leisure battery failing to charge from solar panels, leisure battery running down - and faults due to the electrical connections - my background is in electrical engineering - design, manufacture, commissioning.

Would anyone like to share their experiences - name the dealers, describe the faults that appeared. I am looking at a new van - ATM I'm looking at Murvi, Wellhouse or WildAx.

Also - are you suffering from noise from a diesel pump on your blown air heating system? Who made your system Truma, Webasto, (the diesel pumps in some of these systems is sometimes made by Eberspacher) or another manufacturer?

@larkstar
You might find more info on relevant Facebook pages for eg Swift Caravans or campers etc. You get a feel there

Basically many of the dealers are the same as they are wrestling with selling products with terrible quality control unless they happen to sell German brands. The manufacturers give them the responsibility to do the warranty work at bottom rate prices and it has sent some into or near liquidation. Hence a lot of dealers will not service or repair vehicles they haven't supplied and it is an utter nightmare.

All of this is played out in FB forums.
