parc Albatros San Vincenzo (tuscan coast ) or Eden (lake garda)...anyone been/ know these areas?

hi, we are thinking of going to one of these campsites in august, but dont know italy at all.

has anyone been to either of them, or have knowledge of these areas, as we have no idea which region is more scenic/ best for sight seeing etc.

we have girls aged 4 and 6, btw, and are booking with canvas holidays, as we like the look of their 'hoopi's club'.

hi ive been to lake garda with canvas holidays, we flew to verona (brescia) and drove to eden, it was beautiful, the view was amazing although a bit of a trek to the top of site (we used the car )i know very lazy but it was 40 degrees. the market in the main town on a wed was fantastic and the lake is lovely.i would highly recommend, gardaland is fab too.

I'm looking into this type of holiday just now, can anyone tell me what the weather tends to be like on Lake Garda late May/early June?

Lake Garda is beautiful and you're very close to historic towns and the Dolomites. Tuscany is also beautiful (obviously) and choc full of arty cities as well. The choice is very difficult - I'd personally go for Lake Garda in August as it does get very hot in the summer and at least at the Lake you're pretty much guaranteed a breeze (windsurfing and sailing championships are often held there).

I would avoid the adriatic coast like the plague, unless you go somewhere a bit lower down Marche/Abbruzzo/Puglia. Rimini and surrounding areas is pure tat (though it depends on what you're after) and anywhere near Venice is far too close to a notorious chemical plant for my liking.

Late May and early June in Italy can be a bit hit or miss, though usually a hit. When it's nice, the temperatures are perfect, not too hot and not chilly. Late spring is the best time of year imo.
