Wonderful site recommendations with fishing lake

At present we have our tourer sited at a wonderful place in Devon. Storage and then they pitch our van for our stays then pop it away when we leave. We are retired and are now looking after our granddaughter 2 half days and 1 full day every week termtime. The site is 3 hours from home in Birmingham. Reluctantly we have decided it's not practical to be that far away and are looking for a site nearer to home to so we can use it weekends as well. Needs to be no further than one and a half hours away. Need electric hookup etc but no entertainment, bar, restaurant needed. Maybe a basic shop. Picturesque, maybe a play area. Fishing lake is a must.
Any recommendations that would fit the bill?
TIA

Holme Valley is a nice site. It’s not obvious from their website but you can fish in the Mill Pond and the river. Also look at Golden Valley.

Sorry missed the bit where you needed the van storing, nor sure if they do that, but you can ask.

Thanks for the suggestions. A couple are to far but they all look lovely places.

Eye Kettleby Lakes in Melton Mowbray. Seven fishing lakes. Adults only. Very swanky facilities. Sumner Ponds in Horsham. Loads and loads of fishing lakes with Very Serious fishermen with tons of kit. Massive carp. Family site.

Trippenkennet on the hereford/monmouth border is lovely. I don't fish myself but hear its very good. I've camped there and its a lovely site and toilet facilities etc were clean and tidy.

This place is great. I've camped but not fished but heard about the whoppers that come out. Not too far from Birmingham, my then m50, on the hereford monmouth border. Lovely site and some beautiful surroundings.

Henlow Bridge lakes has fishing and I'm pretty sure it does storage too. Next door to a train station with easy access into London too.

@baggies have a look at Glencote, Cheedleton, Staffordshire.

There's fishing at the campsite, steam trains nearby and Titanic Brewery and Leek and the rest of the Peak District to explore. Google says it's 1 hour 6 mins from central Birmingham Smile
