Single parent with 4yo?

I'm an experienced camper but usually on my own in a minimalist way. I do have a 'family tent.

I would like to take my 4yo but can't really work out the practicalities. The most significant one being how do you manage going to toilet either when she's asleep or in general?

If we're out for the day then I just have to take her with me but that doesn't seem as bad as every time for 2 days.

I could go to one of my usual campsites where you decide where to pitch but was thinking of somewhere a bit more family orientated but you get allocated a pitch so could be out of sight of toilets.

You take her with you if you need the toilet. You wake her up if need be. It’s just one of those things.

Or take a potty or something that you can use if you need a wee in the middle of the night!

And otherwise yes just take them with you.

I’d just take a camping toilet with you. Just the basic bucket-with-lid type for night wees. It will come in handy for both of you in the night.

Bucket with lid for emergencies, line with toilet tissue, empty into site chemical toilet waste container or down the site toilet in the morning and wash out

I'm in this situation but with 2 DC. Basic camping toilet (bucket with lid) for night time wees (wee only!)
