Campsite for mid August

I'm struggling to find anything for roughly 17th to 31st august. Doesn't have to be 1 place, nor the whole period.
Can anyone give me any suggestions?
We have a caravan and would prefer electric hook up.
Dont really mind where we go - Wales, anywhere in England.
I'm looking on pitch up and C+C club website.
Naively didn't think it would be so tricky having booked similar in Scotland pretty last minute last august!

I'm messaging you, I don't know much about caravans though! It's one we go to with a tent and it says "limited electric hookup".

@drspouse Thank you!

Pitch-Up has 1,005 results for those dates, caravan, and electric pitch. Amongst the first results is Oak View Holiday Park, I've stayed there a couple of years ago. It's very pleasant, and a good base for exploring Kent.

@DogInATent thanks, I've bookmarked that one for later. Looks good and Leeds Castle nearby.
Pitch up drives me up the wall (or maybe it's the sites) as it looks like loads are available but then restrictions kick in - no continental vans was my latest find!
Found a (hopefully fab) place in north yorkshire and wont leave it so late next time (she says.....).

Far Peak in the cotswolds is a lovely site and last time I checked they had tent pitch spaces. We are going in August.

No continental vans? Wtf is that about?

CoronaPeroni · 31/07/2021 09:41

There's a few FB groups, search 'late availability', not always accurate but owners post last minute cancellations.

Re the continental vans, on sites where you have to park car, van, awning for safety/spacing purposes, the door of a continental van is on the opposite side so you would park car, awning, van or van, awning, car where 'living' quarters could be less than 3 metres from your neighbour and this is too close re fire hazards etc. That's my understanding anyway.

...although surely I could just park the caravan the other way round? So door would be facing same direction as all the others.
Guess that would depend on owners willingness to push in/out rather than tow in/out.
I'm not sure!

Some sites don't like you pitching the other way around though, others don't seem to mind.
