Can anyone recommend a great campsite in North Wales for us to stay with out touring caravan? Ideally looking for somewhere with good clean basic facilities, not too large, would love to stay on a farm or back to nature. Would love to hear any recommendations Smile

One of the best campsites we’ve stayed at is Dol Lys Farm, but it’s slap bang in the middle of Wales, not the north. If you can’t make it that far down, I’d also recommend Plas Farm.

Not small or on a farm but Riverside in north Wales is lovely

I would avoid the electric hook up and ask for a pitch in the area by the river, it's brilliant to drift off and wake up to the sound of the water. The river is very shallow here and perfect for paddling

I was going to suggest Dol Llys - not been there yet but top of our list at the moment.

This place is absolutely perfect. It's by a river, is very clean, surrounded by trees, and this are of Wales is so so lovely. www.dolgamedd.co.uk/

Possible link fail above? Its called Ty Cornel Camping. Totally gorgeous spot, right next to the river , great facilities but not massive at all.

Another vote for Riverside.
We often stay at a small basic site slightly inland, it has no website, its basically a small well kept field with mainly seasonal pitches, excellent toilets and a few touring pitches, its quiet but a short drive from Abergele and the coast

Tyn yr Onnen Farm in Waunfawr is right in the mountains, has clean facilities and llamas, sheep and chickens.
