We have a lovely new (to us) touring caravan and I can't wait to get usinf it properly. We bought it last autumn and I've been buying bits and pieces. The only thing we need now is a melamine set, are thrse all much of a muchness?

Brilliant stuff. Hard wearing and very light. Happy camping.

Look at OlPro , they often have nice sets.
Waitrose, too, once the summer outdoor ranges are in stock.

Bamboo stuff is nice, too.

We just use an old set of plates from the house

I bought a melamine set which looks like proper crockery- but much lighter and much less likely to damage your glass cooker top if it falls out of the overhead locker.
It is so realistic that DH got a real shock when he picked it up for the first time and found out that it was very light.

Much better to use melamine in case of accident (as mentioned above)

The only china I have is our mugs and I take them out of the overhead cupboard when we’re towing, in case of accidents.

Our caravan has microwave with glass plate which we have to remove before towing too (just the glass plate). Jut thought I’d mention it in case you have one of these.
