Caravaning on the Outer Hebrides

Hi everyone,

Has anyone caravanned the Hebrides? I was thinking of taking our caravan to tour North/South Uist, Lewis, Harris - not in that order!

Struggling to find many sites with electric that take caravans. Think of going for 2 weeks and ideally finding 3 or so campsites in great locations we can day trip from to cover the different areas if we fancy.

Everything seems geared up for campervans and tents. Anyone taken their caravan and have some tips?

We did it in a motor home a few years ago, great holiday. Remember the roads are narrow mostly single track probably not that well suited to caravans. Also the ferry becomes more expensive too.
