Sleeping bag recommendations

I'm off to camp for 3 nights in North Devon on Sunday and need to get a couple of sleeping bags as the last ones we had (cheap eurohike) were thin and not nearly warm enough. There is so much choice online I don't know where to start! Could anyone recommend a warm (3 season?) bag ideally with a soft rather than "slippery" lining?

I love my pod one. Soooo warm and soft and also enough room for when the 3 year old decides he needs to snuggle. Still compacts down well.

Depends on your budget. If you've got it to spend, Mountain Equipment Titans are bloody brilliant.

Whatever you get, store it loose, not in the stuff sack. It breaks the fibres inside and makes it home less air so doesn't keep you as warm over time.

Vango Aurora
3 season , very warm. Wide (1m) , 100% cotton lined. Brushed cotton.

Thanks all, I've gone for a vango one
