That isn't too expensive 🤞 just want to be able to sit at it on a standard camping chair!

Have a look at the foldable table from Argos. It is great. Folds up and can be carried. We use it in the garden at home for the overflow too, cannot fault it.

KoalasAteMyHomework · 01/08/2020 22:25

Ours is very similar to the one saltycat suggested.
It's great and we use it at home too, although we may be getting something smaller for our next camping trip

Doryhunky · 01/08/2020 22:27

I have one like salty cats and the leg height is adjustable!

Yetiyoga · 01/08/2020 23:04

Thanks all, i love that one but not available for home delivery and not in stock at my local 2 argos's ☹

Decathlon, all the way. They have a huge stock of camping stuff including all cooking utensils etc

NotMeNoNo · 02/08/2020 21:17

+1 to adjustable legs so you can have it at a suitable height for kids/armchairs or compensate sloping ground.

SpamandSparkle · 02/08/2020 21:21

Decathlon fold up suitcase type ..... ruddy marvellous bit of kit!

balzamico · 02/08/2020 21:36

I recommend the ones with an aluminium roll top as you can leave them out in the rain or wash up at them without worrying - the suitcase ones are coated cardboard so not weatherproof.
Mine was from Costco and has adjustable height legs which is also great (we use it on the lower height more than the higher). It also takes up v little space as packs up into a bag like camping chairs

I bought this last week, and used it camping this weekend. It was brilliant. Sturdy enough for chopping (and cooking on), high enough to eat at, and adjustable legs to use at coffee table height for drinks. And packs up really small. Our best camping purchase yet.

Mumtumwobble · 06/08/2020 22:03

We have one that includes benches and stools and it all folds up into itself. I love it. Think we got it from go outdoors in a sale.

BeeTrees · 23/08/2020 19:32

Thanks! What I came onto ask, just need to find somewhere that has the roll aluminium actually in stock!

MrsWombat · 25/08/2020 06:23

We have the Decathelon one and it comes with stools too. The stools are not very comfy for adults but ok for a quick sit down.

Sarafive · 25/08/2020 13:41

Halfords had a roll top aluminium one at £25, cheaper than Argos!

BeeTrees · 25/08/2020 19:09

@MrsWombat have you got a link?

BeeTrees · 25/08/2020 19:14

@Sarafive Halfords looks like they’ve sold out of all tables. Everyone else in the world has the same plan!

MrsWombat · 25/08/2020 19:19

@BeeTrees You can buy extra stools and don't be like me and not realise that one side of the stool is higher than the other and wonder why my legs are sore.

@ReviewingTheSituation

I really like the look of that table, but when I first saw your link it was sold out.
Back on Amazon now, with a different seller. www.amazon.co.uk/Uquip-Variety-Aluminium-Camping-Garden/dp/B01FM1VLLS/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

Is that the price you paid?

Did you find the legs easy to adjust? The reviews on one of these says it was hard. Is it exactly the same table, do you think?

BeeTrees · 28/08/2020 19:16

@DidoAtTheLido did you buy it? I dithered tomorrow long and it’s gone out of stock again, probably bought by everyone on this thread!

DidoAtTheLido · 29/08/2020 00:01

Oh no! No I didn’t buy it!
Damn!

NotMeNoNo · 29/08/2020 11:42

There's a good table in the Aldi special buys currently

DidoAtTheLido · 29/08/2020 11:57

Yes, I looked at the Aldi table. My issue is that a table that folds flat doesn’t fit my very tight packing in a ‘normal’ car.

BeeTrees · 29/08/2020 12:15

@DidoAtTheLido there’s this one www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01D3V5IR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_nHJsFbANKCCQZ?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
Or Argos have smaller ones, but you can’t get your legs under. Figured we’d use this one inside for Christmas too. Bigger than I thought we’d get, but thinking about it you can fit a table top BBQ or actually sit people around it comfortably and still fairly small to fold up.

NotMeNoNo · 29/08/2020 12:36

Oh I see. We normally slide ours (similar) underneath or on top of the heap of "rolled up" things.
We do have a cheaper roll up table where we sawed a few inches off each leg with a hacksaw so it's a better height, that worked well. You can remove about 4 inches and still collapse it. this sort

ReviewingTheSituation · 31/08/2020 00:59

@DidoAtTheLido - looks like the same one, but I paid c£50 I think. We had no problem adjusting the legs - we had them going up and down all weekend depending on whether it was in cooking/eating mode or coffee-table mode.

DidoAtTheLido · 31/08/2020 11:25

£50 looks closer to the price I would be prepared to pay, tbh.

I will keep an eye on stock.
