Dogs in new Coleman tent!

Morning all

We have just invested in a new Coleman 6 man tent and we're wondering how others manage claws and the built in ground sheet? We're going to get a tent carpet which will cover half the tent, just looking for views from others - have you had dogs in your tent? Did their claws damage the groundsheet? I do not want to damage our bloody lovely (expensive) new tent!

My tent has a SIG. never had any problem with dogs claws. If it were that feeble, it wouldn't be able to cope with being set up on ground with the odd twig or stone on it.

Don't worry, they won't be on the groundsheet very much. They'll either be outside or on/in your sleeping bag!
